THE STORY
Crowded with young and old, the sandy shores of Newcastle Beach was once the most popular leisure spot in the Valley, long praised as one of Alberta’s finest and safest natural swimming places. In its early days, the park boasted trampolines, mini golf, and a mile-long, diesel-powered miniature railroad, complete with coal mine cars for passengers.
